Comparison of tokamak discharges in H and He working gas.

Goals:

Analyze and explain differences between discharges in H and He as working gas. Which plasma
paramethes are influeneced by higher mass of the main species particles and which are influeneced by much higher ionization energy of the He. A wider cooperation with other teams is expected.

Equipment:

Ocean Optics spectrometer HR2000+ for range 200-1100nm (in cooperation with spectroscopy team), basic diagnostics (Ip, Uloop, photodiods), fast camera, electric probes.

Requested knowledge:

Programming:

Basic knowledge of the Python, Matlab or IDL (Python is preferred),

Plasma physic:

Basic knowledge of the plasma spectroscopy can be advantageous
