According to Wikipedia’s list of experimental tokamaks, the GOLEM tokamak is by far the oldest facility in the world still in operation. Such an old dog equipped with a new IT-driven infrastructure shows a really new trick: it can be operated almost fully remotely over the Internet and now serves as an educational facility for both domestic and international students within the FUSENET - Fusion Education Network.
